After King David moved into his new house the Lord gave him peace from all of his enemies around him.


I have built a wonderful temple for you, a place for you to live forever.”


“But, God, will you really live here with us on the earth? All the sky and the highest place in heaven cannot contain you. Certainly this house which I have built cannot contain you either.


David said to these leaders, “The Lord your God is with you. He has given you a time of peace. The Lord helped me to defeat the people living around us. The Lord and his people are now in control of this land.


Then Jehoiada chose the priests to be responsible for the Lord’s temple. {\cf2\super [267]} Those priests were Levites, and David had given them the job of being responsible for the Lord’s temple. Those priests were to offer the burnt offerings {\cf2\super [268]} to the Lord the way the Law of Moses commanded. They offered the sacrifices {\cf2\super [269]} with much joy and singing the way David commanded.


The Lord is blessed from Zion,\par from Jerusalem, his home.\par Praise the Lord!\par


Mount Bashan, why do you look down\par on Mount Zion?\par God loves that mountain (Zion).\par The Lord chose to live there forever.\par


He went up above \{on the high mountain\},\par leading a parade of captives;\par to take the gifts from men, {\cf2\super [394]} \par including the people\par who turned against him.\par The Lord {\cf2\super [395]} God \{went up there\} to live.\par


You people living on Zion,\par sing praises to the Lord. {\cf2\super [49]} \par Tell other nations about the great things\par the Lord did.\par


“My children and I are signs and proofs for the people of Israel. We have been sent by the Lord All-Powerful—the Lord who lives on the Mount Zion. {\cf2\super [104]} ”


“The distance around the city will be 18,000 cubits. {\cf2\super [486]} From now on, the name of the city will be: THE LORD IS THERE. {\cf2\super [487]}


Those people killed my people.\par So I really will punish them!”\par The Lord God will live in Zion! {\cf2\super [37]} \par


The Lord says, “I have come back to Zion. I am living in Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called FAITHFUL CITY. The Lord All-Powerful’s mountain will be called HOLY MOUNTAIN.”


From this time on we don’t think of any person like the world thinks of people. It is true that in the past we thought of Christ like the world thinks. But we don’t think that way now.


All of God lives in Christ fully (even in Christ’s life on earth).


The Lord gave Israel peace from their enemies around them. The Lord made Israel safe. Many years passed, and Joshua became very old.
