For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.


Saying: If thou wilt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, and do what is right before him, and obey his commandments, and keep all his precepts, none of the evils that I laid upon Egypt will I bring upon thee: for I am the Lord thy healer.


And he called the name of that place Temptation, because the chiding of the children of Israel; and for that they tempted the Lord, saying: Is the Lord amongst us or not?


And now the third day was come, and the morning appeared: and, behold, thunders began to be heard, and lightning to flash, and a very thick cloud to cover the mount. And the noise of the trumpet sounded exceeding loud, and the people that was in the camp, feared.


If you be willing, and will hearken to me, you shall eat the good things of the land.


This is the Water of contradiction, where the children of Israel strove with words against the Lord and he was sanctified in them.


Amen, amen I say to thee, that we speak what we know, and we testify what we have seen, and you receive not our testimony.


Testifying both to Jews and Gentiles penance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.


And he said to them: Set your hearts on all the words, which I testify to you this day: which you shall command your children to observe and to do, and to fulfil all that is written in this law.


Approach thou rather: and hear all things that the Lord our God shall say to thee, and thou shalt speak to us, and we will hear and will do them.


If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony of God, which is greater, because he hath testified of his Son.
