Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit hath fainted away. Turn not away thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.


The Lord is sweet to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.


Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up.


In the Lord shall my soul be praised: let the meek hear and rejoice.


Attend unto my help, O Lord, the God of my salvation.


They have not called upon God: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear. For God hath scattered the bones of them that please men: they have been confounded, because God hath despised them.


Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:


And after this the children of Israel shall return, and shall seek the Lord their God, and David their king: and they shall fear the Lord, and his goodness in the last days.


But many of them who had heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was made five thousand.


And they sung as it were a new canticle, before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the ancients; and no man could say the canticle, but those hundred forty-four thousand, who were purchased from the earth.
