Psalm 34:12

Gather yourselves together, and hear, O ye sons of Jacob: hearken to Israel your father.


And if thou have not, hear me. Hold thy peace, and I will teach thee wisdom.


Remember that my life is but wind: and my eyes shall not return to see good things.


But thou dwellest in the holy place, the praise of Israel.


Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?


that they may shew, That the Lord our God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in him.


My son, hearken to my words, and incline thy ear to my sayings.


Now therefore, my son, hear me, and attend to the words of my mouth.


The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.


Let us all hear together the conclusion of the discourse. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is all man:


I thought in my heart, to withdraw my flesh from wine, that I might turn my mind to wisdom, and might avoid folly, till I might see what was profitable for the children of men: and what they ought to do under the sun, all the days of their life.


For every man that eateth and drinketh, and seeth good of his labour, this is the gift of God.


And that thou mayst love the Lord thy God, and obey his voice, and adhere to him (for he is thy life, and the length of thy days): that thou mayst dwell in the land, for which the Lord swore to thy fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that he would give it them.


That thou mayst fear the Lord thy God, and keep all his commandments and precepts, which I command thee, and thy sons, and thy grandsons, all the days of thy life, that thy days may be prolonged.


And far from me be this sin against the Lord, that I should cease to pray for you. And I will teach you the good and right way.
