They shall publish the memory of the abundance of thy sweetness: and shall rejoice in thy justice.


O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? Why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?


The Lord preserve him and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth: and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.


The senseless man shall not know: nor will the fool understand these things.


Then shall they call upon me, and I will not hear: they shall rise in the morning and shall not find me:


When thou shalt pass through the waters, I will be with thee: and the rivers shall not cover thee. When thou shalt walk in the fire, thou shalt not be burnt: and the flames shall not burn in thee.


Thus saith the Lord: In an acceptable time I have heard thee, and in the day of salvation I have helped thee. And I have preserved thee and given thee to be a covenant of the people, that thou mightest raise up the earth and possess the inheritances that were destroyed.


Seek ye the Lord while he may be found: call upon him while he is near.


You shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither you cannot come.


Who comforteth us in all our tribulation; that we also may be able to comfort them who are in all distress, by the exhortation wherewith we also are exhorted by God.


For he saith: In an accepted time have I heard thee; and in the day of salvation have I helped thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.


But for this cause have I obtained mercy: that in me first Christ Jesus might shew forth all patience, for the information of them that shall believe in him unto life everlasting.


Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and justly, and godly in this world,
