All these things Areuna as a king gave to the king. And Areuna said to the king: The Lord thy God receive thy vow.


And king Solomon gave to the queen of Saba all that she desired, and that she asked, and many more things than she brought to him. So she returned, and went to her own country with her servants.


O God my God, look upon me: why hast thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my sins.


There is no health in my flesh, because of thy wrath: there is no peace for my bones, because of my sins.


The desire of the just is all good: the expectation of the wicked is indignation.


And in all things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.


And I knew that thou hearest me always; but because of the people who stand about have I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.


And in that day you shall not ask me any thing. Amen, amen I say to you: if you ask the Father any thing in my name, he will give it you.


And his wife answered him: If the Lord had a mind to kill us, he would not have received a holocaust and libations at our hands. Neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor have told us the things that are to come.


Now therefore hear, I pray thee, my lord the king, the words of thy servant: If the Lord stir thee up against me, let him accept of sacrifice. But if the sons of men, they are cursed in the sight of the Lord, who have cast me out this day, that I should not dwell in the inheritance of the Lord, saying: Go, serve strange gods.
