One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.


For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.


My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.


A perverse heart is abominable to the Lord: and his will is in them that walk sincerely.


Be not a friend to an angry man, and do not walk with a furious man:


The just abhor the wicked man: and the wicked loathe them that are in the right way. The son that keepeth the word, shall be free from destruction.


For every mocker is an abomination to the Lord, and his communication is with the simple.


The fear of the Lord hateth evil: I hate arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue.


Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.


And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.


And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and so escaped his hands.


But the sure foundation of God standeth firm, having this seal: the Lord knoweth who are his; and let every one depart from iniquity who nameth the name of the Lord.
