And they shall be my special possession, saith the Lord of hosts, in the day that I do judgment: and I will spare them, as a man spareth his son that serveth him.


I have given you your brethren, the Levites, from among the children of Israel, and have delivered them for a gift to the Lord, to serve in the ministries of the tabernacle.


I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.


Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle: and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.


And thou shalt give the Levites for a gift,


Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: When a man, or woman, shall make a vow to be sanctified, and will consecrate themselves to the Lord:


And thou shalt set the Levites in the sight of Aaron and of his sons: and shalt consecrate them being offered to the Lord.


For all the firstborn of the children of Israel, both of men and of beasts, are mine. From the day that I slew every firstborn in the land of Egypt, have I sanctified them to myself.
