Thus saith the Lord: Behold, I will bring evils upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, and all the curses that are written in this book which they read before the king of Juda.


Who would grant me a hearer, that the Almighty may hear my desire; and that he himself that judgeth would write a book,


Unto the end, understanding for David,


Behold the man that made not God his helper: But trusted in the abundance of his riches: and prevailed in his vanity.


And the Lord said to Moses: Write this for a memorial in a book, and deliver it to the ears of Josue; for I will destroy the memory of Amalec from under heaven.


I am, I am he that blot out thy iniquities for my own sake: and I will not remember thy sins.


I have blotted out thy iniquities as a cloud and thy sins as a mist: return to me, for I have redeemed thee.


Let the cursed waters enter into thy belly, and may thy womb swell and thy thigh rot. And the woman shall answer: Amen, amen.


And he shall give them her to drink. And when she hath drunk them up,


Be penitent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.


Now therefore write you this canticle, and teach the children of Israel: that they may know it by heart, and sing it by mouth, and this song may be unto me for a testimony among the children of Israel.


And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
