The sceptre shall not be taken away from Juda, nor a ruler from his thigh, till he come that is to be sent: and he shall be the expectation of nations.


To the priests by their families, and to the Levites from the twentieth year and upward, by their classes and companies.


Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills


The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful.


And therewith thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony: and the ark of the testament:


And take this rod in thy hand, wherewith thou shalt do the signs.


Then he said to him: What is that thou holdest in thy hand? He answered: A rod.


And a fire is gone out from a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit: so that she now hath no strong rod to be a sceptre of rulers. This is a lamentation, and it shall be for a lamentation.


It is sharpened to kill victims: it is furbished that it may glitter. Thou removest the sceptre of my son: thou hast cut down every tree.


Because it is tried: and that when it shall overthrow the sceptre, and it shall not be, saith the Lord God.


Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy inheritance, them that dwell alone in the forest, in the midst of Carmel: they shall feed in Basan and Galaad according to the days of old.


And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


And the name of Aaron shall be for the tribe of Levi: and one rod shall contain all their families:


And it came to pass in the day that Moses had finished the tabernacle, and set it up, and had anointed and sanctified it with all its vessels, the altar likewise and all the vessels thereof:
