Joab the son of Sarvia began to number, but he finished not: because upon this there fell wrath upon Israel. And therefore the number of them that were numbered was not registered in the chronicles of king David.


And he turned the storm into a breeze: and its waves were still.


I cried to the Lord with my voice: with my voice I made supplication to the Lord.


And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons: Uncover not your heads, and rend not your garments, lest perhaps you die, and indignation come upon all the congregation. Let your brethren, and all the house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled.


And, behold, a fire, coming forth from the Lord, devoured the holocaust, and the fat that was upon the altar: which when the multitude saw, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.


Death shall go before his face. And the devil shall go forth before his feet.


For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts.


But the Levites shall pitch their tents round about the tabernacle, lest there come indignation upon the multitude of the children of Israel: and they shall keep watch, and guard the tabernacle of the testimony.


As yet the flesh was between their teeth, neither had that kind of meat failed: when, behold, the wrath of the Lord being provoked against the people struck them with an exceeding great plague.


Watch ye in the charge of the sanctuary, and in the ministry of the altar: lest indignation rise upon the children of Israel.


And the covenant of the priesthood for ever shall be both to him and his seed, because he hath been zealous for his God, and hath made atonement for the wickedness of the children of Israel.


Went in after the Israelite into the brothel house, and thrust both of them through together: to wit, the man and the woman in the genital parts. And the scourge ceased from the children of Israel.


And have delivered them for a gift to Aaron and his sons out of the midst of the people, to serve me for Israel in the tabernacle of the covenant, and to pray for them, lest there should be a plague among the people, if they should presume to approach unto my sanctuary.


At the burning also, and at the place of temptation, and at the graves of lust you provoked the Lord.
