But when he was made strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: and he neglected the Lord his God. And going into the temple of the Lord, he had a mind to burn incense upon the altar of incense.


And taking the censer, which he hath filled with the burning coals of the altar, and taking up with his hand the compounded perfume for incense, he shall go in within the veil into the holy place:


That when the perfumes are put upon the fire, the cloud and vapour thereof may cover the oracle, which is over the testimony, and he may not die.


Take every one of you censers, and put incense upon them, offering to the Lord two hundred and fifty censers. Let Aaron also hold his censer.


And had drawn up all the multitude against them to the door of the tabernacle: the glory of the Lord appeared to them all.


Command Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, to take up the censers that lie in the burning, and to scatter the fire of one side and the other: because they are sanctified


And standing between the dead and the living, he prayed for the people: and the plague ceased.
