But Jesus knowing their wickedness, said: Why do you tempt me, ye hypocrites?


Any why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye?


Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye?


Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you.


You hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the heaven and of the earth: but how is it that you do not discern this time?


And the Lord answering him, said: Ye hypocrites, doth not every one of you, on the sabbath day, loose his ox or his ass from the manger, and lead them to water?


And he said to them: Doubtless you will say to me this similitude: Physician, heal thyself: as great things as we have heard done in Capharnaum, do also here in thy own country.


Or how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye, when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye? Hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from thy brother's eye.


But the wicked spirit, answering, said to them: Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?
