He said to him: Come near me, and give me a kiss, my son.


And Joab said to Amasa: God save thee, my brother. And he took Amasa by the chin with his right hand to kiss him.


Better are the wounds of a friend, than the deceitful kisses of an enemy.


And salutations in the market place, and to be called by men, Rabbi.


But be not you called Rabbi. For one is your master; and all you are brethren.


And Judas that betrayed him, answering, said: Is it I, Rabbi? He saith to him: Thou hast said it.


And he that betrayed him, gave them a sign, saying: Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he, hold him fast.


And they began to salute him: Hail, king of the Jews.


Thou gavest me no kiss; but she, since she came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet.


And they came to him, and said: Hail, king of the Jews; and they gave him blows.


In the mean time the disciples prayed him, saying: Rabbi, eat.

And Samuel took a little vial of oil; and poured it upon his head; and kissed him; and said: Behold, the Lord hath anointed thee to be prince over his inheritance: and thou shalt deliver his people out of the hands of their enemies, that are round about them.
