And others tempting, asked of him a sign from heaven.


And the multitudes running together, he began to say: This generation is a wicked generation: it asketh a sign, and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.


The Jews, therefore, answered, and said to him: What sign dost thou shew unto us, seeing thou dost these things?


Jesus therefore said to him: Unless you see signs and wonders, you believe not.


They said therefore to him: What sign therefore dost thou shew, that we may see, and may believe thee? What dost thou work?


For both the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
