Then he goeth, and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man in made worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation.


But this kind is not cast out but by prayer and fasting.


And when they abode together in Galilee, Jesus said to them: The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:


And he said to them: This kind can go out by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.


And he taught his disciple, and said to them: The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise again the third day.


Then he goeth and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there. And the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.


And passing through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia.


But I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection: lest perhaps, when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway.


In labour and painfulness, in much watchings, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.


For which thing thrice I besought the Lord, that it might depart from me.


In stripes, in prisons, in seditions, in labours, in watchings, in fastings,


By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit; and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints:


And the prayer of faith shall save the sick man: and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he be in sins, they shall be forgiven him.
