Is there any thing hard to God? According to appointment, I will return to thee at this same time, life accompanying; and Sara shall have a son.


And may it come upon the head of Joab, and upon all his father's house: and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue of seed, or that is a leper, or that holdeth the distaff, or that falleth by the sword, or that wanteth bread.


And the Lord struck the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and he dwelt in a free house apart. But Joatham the king's son governed the palace, and judged the people of the land.


Now there were four lepers, at the entering-in of the gate. And they said one to another: What mean we to stay here till we die?


For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, and had set it in the midst of the temple, which was five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high: and he stood upon it. Then kneeling down in the presence of all the multitude of Israel, and lifting up his hands towards heaven,


The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.


And when he was come to the multitude, there came to him a man falling down on his knees before him, saying: Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic, and suffereth much: for he falleth often into the fire, and often into the water.


And Jesus having compassion on him, stretched forth his hand; and touching him, saith to him: I will. Be thou made clean.


And when he was gone forth into the way, a certain man running up and kneeling before him, asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may receive life everlasting?


And he was withdrawn away from them a stone's cast; and kneeling down, he prayed,


For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
