There is a way which seemeth just to a man: but the ends thereof lead to death.


For he that hath, to him shall be given, and he shall abound: but he that hath not, from him shall be taken away that also which he hath.


For to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: but from him that hath not, that also which he seemeth to have shall be taken away.


And when you shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not: he that readeth let him understand: then let them that are in Judea, flee unto the mountains:


But I say to you, that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath, shall be taken from him.


And all were astonished at the mighty power of God. But while all wondered at all the things he did, he said to his disciples: Lay you up in your hearts these words, for it shall come to pass, that the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.


Every branch in me, that beareth not fruit, he will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit.


Immediately therefore I sent to thee: and thou hast done well in coming. Now therefore all we are present in thy sight, to hear all things whatsoever are commanded thee by the Lord.


Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all eagerness, daily searching the scriptures, whether these things were so.


For I say, by the grace that is given me, to all that are among you, not to be more wise than it behoveth to be wise, but to be wise unto sobriety, and according as God hath divided to every one the measure of faith.


If any seem to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him know the things that I write to you, that they are the commandments of the Lord.


Let no man deceive himself: if any man among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.


And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he hath not yet known as he ought to know.


Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other thinketh he may have confidence in the flesh, I more,


Therefore ought we more diligently to observe the things which we have heard, lest perhaps we should let them slip.
