And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.


The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.


The path of life is above for the wise, that he may decline from the lowest hell.


Her feet go down into death, and her steps go in as far as hell.


Her house is the way to hell, reaching even to the inner chambers of death.

But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit.


Hell below was in an uproar to meet thee at thy coming: it stirred up the giants for thee. All the princes of the earth are risen up from their thrones, all the princes of nations.


And thou Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted up to heaven? thou shalt go down even unto hell. For if in Sodom had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in thee, perhaps it had remained unto this day.


And if thy eye scandalize thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee having one eye to enter into life, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.


You serpents, generation of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of hell?


But I say to you, that whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be in danger of the judgment. And whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council. And whosoever shall say, Thou Fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.


And if thy right eye scandalize thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee. For it is expedient for thee that one of thy members should perish, rather than that thy whole body be cast into hell.


And behold they cried out, saying: What have we to do with thee, Jesus Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?


And he cried, and said: Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, to cool my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame.


That he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torments.


And when he saw Jesus, he fell down before him; and crying out with a loud voice, he said: What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, do not torment me.


O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?


For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment:


And the false prophet shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
