AT that time Herod the Tetrarch heard the fame of Jesus.


For Herod had apprehended John and bound him, and put him into prison, because of Herodias, his brother's wife.


But on Herod's birthday, the daughter of Herodias danced before them: and pleased Herod.


And when he understood that he was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him away to Herod, who was also himself at Jerusalem, in those days.


NOW in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother tetrarch of Iturea, and the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilina;


Now Herod, the tetrarch, heard of all things that were done by him; and he was in a doubt, because it was said
