For the lips of the priest shall keep knowledge, and they shall seek the law at his mouth: because he is the angel of the Lord of hosts.


And one of them, a doctor of the law, asking him, tempting him:


But woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men, for you yourselves do not enter in; and those that are going in, you suffer not to enter.


And as he was saying these things to them, the Pharisees and the lawyers began violently to urge him, and to oppress his mouth about many things,


And calling in the apostles, after they had scourged them, they charged them that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus; and they dismissed them.
