Moreover also the stranger, who is not of thy people Israel, when he shall come out of a far country for thy name's sake, (for they shall hear every where of thy great name and thy mighty hand,


And Isaias the prophet came to king Ezechias, and said to him: What said these men? Or from whence came they to thee? And Ezechias said to him: From a far country they came to me out of Babylon.


And he returned with all Israel to the place of the camp in Galgal.


But the inhabitants of the city of Gabaon which was besieged sent to Josue, who then abode in the camp at Galgal, and said to him: Withdraw not thy hands from helping thy servants: come up quickly and save us, and bring us succour. For all the kings of the Amorrhites, who dwell in the mountains, are gathered together against us.


And the people came up out of the Jordan, the tenth day of the first month, and camped in Galgal, over against the east side of the city of Jericho.


And the children of Israel abode in Galgal, and they kept the phase on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the plains of Jericho.


And very old shoes, which for a show of age were clouted with patches, and old garments upon them. The leaves also, which they carried for provisions by the way, were hard, and broken into pieces.


They answered: From a very far country thy servants are come in the name of the Lord thy God. For we have heard the fame of his power, all the things that he did in Egypt.
