And he blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.


And he said to his servant: Go up, and look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said: There is nothing. And again he said to him: Return seven times.


And Eliseus sent a messenger to him, saying: Go, and wash seven times in the Jordan; and thy flesh shall recover health; and thee shalt be clean.


Then he went down, and washed in the Jordan seven times: according to the word of the man of God. And his flesh was restored, like the flesh of a little child, and he was made clean.


Therefore God is the leader in our army, and his priests who sound with trumpets, and resound against you: O children of Israel, fight not against the Lord the God of your fathers, for it is not good for you.


It shall not be you that shall fight: but only stand with confidence, and you shall see the help of the Lord over you, O Juda, and Jerusalem: fear ye not, nor be you dismayed: to-morrow you shall go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.

And when the voice of the trumpet shall give a longer and broken tune, and shall sound in your ears, all the people shall shout together with a very great shout: and the walls of the city shall fall to the ground. And they shall enter in every one at the place against which they shall stand.
