And the king condescended not to the people: for the Lord was turned away from him, to make good his word, which he had spoken in the hand of Ahias the Silonite, to Jeroboam the son of Nabat.


For it was the will of God against Ochozias that he should come to Joram: and when he was come should go out also against Jehu the son of Namsi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Achab.


And when he spoke these things, he answered him: Art thou the king's counsellor? Be quiet, lest I kill thee. And the prophet departing said: I know that God is minded to kill thee, because thou hast done this evil, and moreover hast not hearkened to my counsel.
