As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that fear him:


But Jesus said: Go ye into the city to a certain man, and say to him: the master saith, My time is near at hand, with thee I make the pasch with my disciples.


BEFORE the festival day of the pasch, Jesus knowing that his hour was come, that he should pass out of this world to the Father: having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them unto the end.


THESE things Jesus spoke, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said: Father, the hour is come, glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee.


And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come.


They sought therefore to apprehend him: and no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.


Go you up to this festival day, but I go not up to this festival day: because my time is not accomplished.


These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, teaching in the temple: and no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.


But he said to them: It is not for you to know the times or moments, which the Father hath put in his own power:
