Its harvest shall be destroyed with drought, women shall come and teach it: for it is not a wise people. Therefore he that made it shall not have mercy on it: and he that formed it shall not spare it.


And the book shall be given to one that knoweth no letters, and it shall be said to him: Read. And he shall answer: I know no letters.


They shall all proved together to be senseless and foolish: the doctrine of their vanity is wood.


For my foolish people have not known me: they are foolish and senseless children. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.


Behold, you put your trust in lying words which shall not profit you:


The kite in the air hath known her time: the turtle and the swallow and the stork have observed the time of their coming: but my people have not known the judgment of the Lord.


And they have bent their tongue, as a bow, for lies and not for truth: they have strengthened themselves upon the earth: for they have proceeded from evil to evil, and me they have not known, saith the Lord.


My people have been silent, because they had no knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee, that thou shalt not do the office of priesthood to me: and thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.


The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.
