And when he was gone, together with all that belonged to him, and having passed the river, was going on towards mount Galaad,


But the nation and kingdom that will not serve Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and whosoever will not bend his neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon: I will visit upon that nation with the sword, and with famine and with pestilence, saith the Lord: till I consume them by his hand.


And all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to dwell there shall die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence: none of them shall remain nor escape from the face of the evil that I will bring upon them.


And Jeremias said to all the people and to all the women: Hear ye the word of the Lord, all Juda, you that dwell in the land of Egypt.


And it came to pass, when the days of his assumption were accomplishing, that he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.


And when he is made king, he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor lead back the people into Egypt, being lifted up with the number of his horsemen: especially since the Lord hath commanded you to return no more the same way.
