And the Lord said to David my father: Whereas thou hast thought in thy heart to build a house to my name, thou hast done well in having this same thing in thy mind.


Then they said one to another: We do not well; for this is a day of good tidings. If we hold our peace, and do not tell it till the morning, we shall be charged with a crime. Come, let us go and tell it in the king's court.


Seek not revenge, nor be mindful of the injury of thy citizens. Thou shalt love thy friend as thyself. I am the Lord.


But let him be among you as one of the same country. And you shall love him as yourselves: for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.


And the Lord said: Dost thou think thou hast reason to be angry?


And the Lord said to Jonas: Dost thou think thou hast reason to be angry, for the ivy? And he said: I am angry with reason even unto death.

The love of our neighbour worketh no evil. Love therefore is the fulfilling of the law.

Bear ye one another's burdens; and so you shall fulfil the law of Christ.


Nevertheless you have done well in communicating to my tribulation.


But as touching the charity of brotherhood, we have no need to write to you: for yourselves have learned of God to love one another.

But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
