And now, Lord God of Israel, let thy word be established which thou hast spoken to thy servant David.


Thus saith Cyrus king of the Persians: The Lord the God of heaven hath given to me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judea.


And Moses said to the Lord: Thou commandest me to lead forth this people. And thou dost not let me know whom thou wilt send with me, especially whereas thou hast said: I know thee by name, and thou hast found favour in my sight.


And the Lord said to Moses: This word also, which thou hast spoken, will I do. For thou hast found grace before me, and thee I have known by name.


Shew the things that are to come hereafter: and we shall know that ye are gods. Do ye also good or evil, if you can: and let us speak and see together.


AND now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, and called thee by thy name. Thou art mine.


I, even I have spoken and called him. I have brought him, and his way is made prosperous.


GIVE ear, ye islands, and hearken, ye people from afar. The Lord hath called me from the womb: from the bowels of my mother he hath been mindful of my name.


But ten men were found among them that said to Ismahel: Kill us not: for we have stores in the field, of wheat and barley and oil and honey. And he forbore and slew them not with their brethren.


Come ye against her from the uttermost borders: open, that they may go forth that shall tread her down: take the stones out of the way and make heaps and destroy her: and let nothing of her be left.


A sword upon their horses and upon their chariots and upon all the people that are in the midst of her, and they shall become as women. A sword upon her treasures, and they shall be made a spoil.


O thou that dwellest upon many waters, rich in treasures, thy end is come for thy entire destruction.


If Babylon should mount up to heaven and establish her strength on high: from me there should come spoilers upon her, saith the Lord.
