And the poor people thou wilt save: and with thy eyes thou wilt humble the haughty.


For the king hopeth in the Lord: and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.


The princes of the people are gathered together, with the God of Abraham: for the strong gods of the earth are exceedingly exalted.


Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.


Every proud man is an abomination to the Lord: though hand should be joined to hand, he is not innocent. The beginning of a good way is to do justice; and this is more acceptable with God, than to offer sacrifices.


A generation, whose eyes are lofty, and their eyelids lifted up on high.


And it shall come to pass, that when the Lord shall have performed all his works in Mount Sion and in Jerusalem, I will visit the fruit of the proud heart of the king of Assyria and the glory of the haughtiness of his eyes.


AND thou shalt say in that day: I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for thou wast angry with me. Thy wrath is turned away: and thou hast comforted me.


And you shall say in that day: Praise ye the Lord, and call upon his name. Make his works known among the people: remember that his name is high.


And I will visit the evils of the world, and against the wicked for their iniquity: and I will make the pride of infidels to cease, and will bring down the arrogancy of the mighty.


But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit.


And the loftiness of men shall be bowed down: and the haughtiness of men shall be humbled. And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.


The Lord of hosts hath designed it, to pull down the pride of all glory and bring to disgrace all the glorious ones of the earth.


And it shall come to pass, that in that day the Lord shall visit upon the host of heaven on high, and upon the kings of the earth, on the earth.


And they shall say in that day: Lo, this is our God: we have waited for him, and he will save us. This is the Lord: we have patiently waited for him, we shall rejoice and be joyful in his salvation.


IN that day shall this canticle be sung the land of Juda. Sion, the city of our strength: a Saviour, a wall and a bulwark shall be set therein.


In that day, the Lord of hosts shall be a crown of glory and a garland of joy to the residue of his people:


And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book: and out of darkness and obscurity the eyes of the blind shall see.


Therefore the Lord waiteth that be may have mercy on you, and therefore shall he be exalted sparing you: because the Lord is the God of judgment. Blessed are all they that wait for him.


And rain shall be given to thy seed, wheresoever thou shalt sow in the land: and the bread of the corn of the land shall be most plentiful and fat. The lamb in that day shall feed at large in thy possession.


Whom hast thou reproached, and whom hast thou blasphemed, and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thy eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.


AND in that day, seven women shall take hold of one man, saying: We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name. Take away our reproach.


He that bringeth the searchers of secrets to nothing, that hath made the judges of the earth as vanity.


Therefore my people shall know my name in that day: for I myself that spoke, behold, I am here.


Is my inheritance to me as a speckled bird? Is it as a bird dyed throughout? Come ye, assemble yourselves, all the beasts of the earth, make haste to devour.


But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, for I am the Lord that exercise mercy and judgment and justice in the earth: for these things please me, saith the Lord.


Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy and say to Cog: Thus saith the Lord God: Shalt thou not know, in that day, when my people of Israel shall dwell securely?


And I have spoken in my zeal, and in the fire of my anger, that in that day there shall be a great commotion upon the land of Israel:


And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give Gog a noted place for a sepulchre in Israel: the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea, which shall cause astonishment in them that pass by: and there shall they bury Cog, and all his multitude, and it shall be called the valley of the multitude of Cog.


And the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.


And it shall be in that day, saith the Lord, That she shall call me: My husband, and she shall call me no more Baali.


And in that day I will make a covenant with them, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of the air, and with the creeping things of the earth: and I will destroy the bow, and the sword, and war out of the land: and I will make them sleep secure.


And it shall come to pass in that day: I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down sweetness, and the hills shall flow with milk: and waters shall flow through all the rivers of Juda: and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord, and shall water the torrent of thorns.


In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, that is fallen: and I will close up the breaches of the walls thereof, and repair what was fallen: and I will rebuild it as in the days of old.


Shall not I in that day, saith the Lord, destroy the wise out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?


Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold, I devise an evil against this family: from which you shall not withdraw your necks, and you shall not walk haughtily, for this is a very evil time.


In that day, saith the Lord, I will gather up her that halteth: and her that I had cast out, I will gather up: and her whom I had afflicted.


And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will take away thy horses out of the midst of thee, and will destroy thy chariots.


In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proud boasters, and thou shalt no more be lifted up because of my holy mountain.


In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not: to Sion: Let not thy hands be weakened.


And the Lord their God will save them in that day, as the dock of his people: for holy stones shall be lifted up over his land.


For behold the day shall come kindled as a furnace: and all the proud, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall set them on fire, saith the Lord of hosts, it shall not leave them root, nor branch.


I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather that the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.


But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.


And every height that exhalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every understanding unto the obedience of Christ;


When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be made wonderful in all them who have believed; because our testimony was believed upon you in that day.


In like manner, ye young men, be subject to the ancients. And do you all insinuate humility one to another, for God resisteth the proud, but to the humble he giveth grace.
