He shall look upon men, and shall say: I have sinned, and indeed I have offended, and I have not received what I have deserved.


If I have erred, teach thou me: if I have spoken iniquity, I will add no more.


I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the thorn and the myrtle and the olive-tree: I will set in the desert the fir-tree, the elm, and the box-tree together:


Instead of the shrub, shall come up the fir-tree, and instead of the nettle, shall come up the myrtle-tree: and the Lord shall be named for an everlasting sign that shall not be taken away.


The glory of Libanus shall come to thee, the fir-tree, and the box-tree, and the pine-tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary: and I will glorify the place of my feet.


On the high mountains of Israel will I plant it: and it shall shoot forth into branches and shall bear fruit, and it shall become a great cedar. And all birds shall dwell under it, and every fowl shall make its nest under the shadow of the branches thereof.


And I will pour upon you clean water, and you shall be cleansed from all your filthiness, and I will cleanse you from all your idols.


And rising up he came to his father. And when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and running to him fell upon his neck, and kissed him.


And of his fulness we all have received, and grace for grace.


For the fruit of the light is in all goodness, and justice, and truth;


Filled with the fruit of justice, through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.


For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to accomplish, according to his good will.


I can do all these things in him who strengtheneth me.


For they themselves relate of us, what manner of entering in we had unto you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God.


Every best gift, and every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of alteration.
