And dreamed a dream: Seven ears of corn grew upon one stalk, full and very fair.


And they devoured the beauty of the former. I told this dream to the conjecturers, and there is no man that can expound it.


Then seven other ears sprung up thin and blasted,


And the inhabitants of them were weak of hand: they trembled and were confounded: they became like the grass of the field, and the green herb on the tops of houses, which withered before it came to maturity.


Because he shall make a separation between brothers: s the Lord will bring a burning wind that shall rise from the desert, and it shall dry up his springs, and shall make his fountain desolate, and he shall carry off the treasure of every desirable vessel.


For they shall sow wind, and reap a whirlwind, there is no standing stalk in it, the bud shall yield no meal; end if it should yield, strangers shall eat it.


Ephraim is struck, their root is dried up, they shall yield no fruit. And if they should have issue, I will slay the best beloved fruit of their womb.
