And he said to Joseph his son: Behold, I die, and God will be with you, and will bring you back into the land of your fathers.


And he made them swear to him, saying: God will visit you. Carry my bones with you out of this place:


And their enemies afflicted them: and they were humbled under their hands:


And brought out Israel through the midst thereof: for his mercy endureth for ever.


The moon and the stars to rule the night: for his mercy endureth for ever.


All the day long thy tongue hath devised injustice: as a sharp razor, thou hast wrought deceit.


And it came to pass at midnight, the Lord slew every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharao, who sat on his throne, unto the firstborn of the captive woman that was in the prison, and all the firstborn of cattle.


But come, and I will send thee to Pharao, that thou mayst bring forth my people, the children of Israel out of Egypt.


And the nation which they shall serve will I judge, said the Lord; and after these things they shall go out, and shall serve me in this place.


But the Lord hath taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace of Egypt, to make you his people of inheritance, as it is this present day.


And he wrought signs and wonders great and very grievous in Egypt against Pharao, and all his house, in our sight.


The Lord our God he brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage: and did very great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way by which we journeyed, and among all the people through whom we passed.


How Jacob went into Egypt, and your fathers cried to the Lord: and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, and brought your fathers out of Egypt: and made them dwell in this place.
