Why asketh thou me? ask them who have heard what I have spoken unto them: behold they know what things I have said.


Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,


Take these, and sanctify thyself with them: and bestow on them, that they may shave their heads: and all will know that the things which they have heard of thee, are false; but that thou thyself also walkest keeping the law.


And neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man, or causing any concourse of the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:


For this cause the Jews, when I was in the temple, having apprehended me, went about to kill me.


Now there arose some of that which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of them that were of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.
