And going out, they found a man of Cyrene, named Simon: him they forced to take up his cross.


NOW in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother tetrarch of Iturea, and the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilina;


Which also they did, sending it to the ancients, by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.


And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, having fulfilled their ministry, taking with them John, who was surnamed Mark.


Then Saul, otherwise Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, looking upon him,


But Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, with many words comforted the brethren, and confirmed them.


And Paul and Barnabas continued at Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others, the word of the Lord.


And when Paul had imposed his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.


And he had four daughters, virgins, who did prophesy.


And Joseph, who, by the apostles, was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, by interpretation, The son of consolation,) a Levite, a Cyprian born,


AND Saul, as yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,


Timothy, my fellow labourer, saluteth you, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen.


Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head.


And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.


Charity never falleth away: whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed.


And let the prophets speak, two or three; and let the rest judge.


And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.


Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to do this?


And to his dissimulation the rest of the Jews consented, so that Barnabas also was led by them into that dissimulation.


And when they had known the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship: that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision:


And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and other some evangelists, and other some pastors and doctors,


The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household.
