Unto the end, for David the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this canticle, in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hands of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.


That we may know thy way upon earth: thy salvation in all nations.


that another generation might know them. The children that should be born and should rise up, and declare them to their children.

For the king knoweth of these things, to whom also I speak with confidence. For I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him. For neither was any of these things done in a corner.


I know, and am confident in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.


For one judgeth between day and day: and another judgeth every day: let every man abound in his own sense.


And I myself also, my brethren, am assured of you, that you also are full of love, replenished with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.


Most fully knowing, that whatsoever he has promised, he is able also to perform.


For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might,


In chastity, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in sweetness, in the Holy Ghost, in charity unfeigned,


Now the end of the commandment is charity, from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and an unfeigned faith.


These things proposing to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished up in the words of faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast attained unto.


For which cause I also suffer these things: but I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed, and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day.


And because from thy infancy thou hast known the holy scriptures, which can instruct thee to salvation, by the faith which is in Christ Jesus.


All these died according to faith, not having received the promises, but beholding them afar off, and saluting them, and confessing that they are pilgrims and strangers on the earth.


But, my dearly beloved, we trust better things of you, and nearer to salvation; though we speak thus.
