And Hiram the king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons for walls. And they built a house for David.


And David took more concubines and wives of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were born to David other sons also and daughters.


And thy house shall be faithful, and thy kingdom for ever before thy face: and thy throne shall be firm for ever.


Blessed be the Lord thy God, whom thou hast pleased, and who hath set thee upon the throne of Israel: because the Lord hath loved Israel for ever, and hath appointed thee king, to do judgment and justice.


And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, and that his kingdom was exalted over his people Israel.


And Hiram king of Tyre sent a letter to Solomon, saying: Because the Lord hath loved his people, therefore he hath made thee king over them.
