And the men of Sodom were very wicked, and sinners before the face of the Lord, beyond measure.


And as he lingered, they took his hand, and the hand of his wife, and of his two daughters; because the Lord spared him.


Make haste and be saved there, because I cannot do any thing till thou go in thither. Therefore the name of that city was called Segor.


Now when God destroyed the cities of that country, remembering Abraham, he delivered Lot out of the destruction of the cities wherein he had dwelt.


And they called Lot, and said to him: Where are the men that came in to thee at night? Bring them out hither that we may know them.


The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.


To the prophets: My heart is broken within me, all my bones tremble: I am become as a drunken man, and as a man full of wine, at the presence of the Lord and at the presence of his holy words.


Let no temptation take hold on you, but such as is human. And God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which you are able: but will make also with temptation issue, that you may be able to bear it.


For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:


And many shall follow their riotousnesses, through whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.


You therefore, brethren, knowing these things before, take heed, lest being led aside by the error of the unwise, you fall from your own steadfastness.


For certain men are secretly entered in, (who were written of long ago unto this judgment,) ungodly men, turning the grace of our Lord God into riotousness, and denying the only sovereign Ruler, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
