He pressed them very much to turn in unto him: and when they were come in to his house, he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread: and they ate:


Now Berzellai the Galaadite was of a great age, that is to say, fourscore years old: and he provided the king with sustenance when he abode in the camp; for he was a man exceeding rich.


So they sought a beautiful young woman in all the coasts of Israel: and they found Abisag a Sunamitess, and brought her to the king.


And the child grew. And on a certain day, when he went out to his father to the reapers,


And his possession was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she-asses, and a family exceeding great: and this man was great among all the people of the East.


They that are aged are not the wise men: neither do the ancients understand judgment.


She entangled him with many words, and drew him away with the flattery of her lips.


And in like manner he that had received the two, gained other two.


For he shall be great before the Lord; and shall drink no wine nor strong drink: and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.


And the Lord said to the servant: Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.


But they constrained him; saying: Stay with us, because it is towards evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in with them.


And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying: If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.


And his inheritance was Jezrael and Casaloth and Sunem,


And the old man answered him: Peace be with thee: I will furnish all things that are necessary. Only I beseech thee, stay not in the street.


And the Philistines were gathered together, and came and camped in Sunam. And Saul also gathered together all Israel, and came to Gelboe.
