And the men of the city said to Eliseus: Behold, the situation of this city is very good, as thou, my lord, seest; but the waters are very bad, and the ground barren.


Then he bid him call her: And when she was called, and stood before the door.


And the woman conceived, and brought forth a son in the time, and at the same hour, that Eliseus had said.


And she said to him: Did I ask a son of my lord? Did I not say to thee: Do not deceive me?


But the angel said to him: Fear not, Zachary, for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John:
