He went therefore to Gabaon, to sacrifice there: for that was the great high place. A thousand victims for holocausts did Solomon offer upon that altar in Gabaon.


And king Solomon, and all the multitude of Israel, that were assembled unto him went with him before the ark. And they sacrificed sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered.


And Solomon slew victims of peace-offerings, which he sacrificed to the Lord, two and twenty thousand oxen, and hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king, and the children of Israel dedicated the temple of the Lord.


And they sacrificed victims to the Lord: and they offered holocausts the next day, a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their libations, and with every thing prescribed most abundantly for all Israel.


Then Solomon offered holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,


And Libanus shall not be enough to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt-offering.
