Let all them be confounded that act unjust things without cause. Shew, O Lord, thy ways to me, and teach me thy paths.


But I, as a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, have hoped in the mercy of God for ever, yea for ever and ever.


Wash thy heart from wickedness, O Jerusalem, that thou mayst be saved. How long shall hurtful thoughts abide in thee?


I said: Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive correction: and her dwelling shall not perish, for all things wherein I have visited her: but they rose early and corrupted all their thoughts.


A good man out of a good treasure bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of an evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.


Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.


And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.


AND Paul looking upon the council, said: Men, brethren, I have conversed with all good conscience before God until this present day.


And herein do I endeavour to have always a conscience without offence toward God, and towards men.


For the end of the law is Christ, unto justice to every one that believeth.


Let love be without dissimulation. Hating that which is evil, cleaving to that which is good.


For if, because of thy meat, thy brother be grieved, thou walkest not now according to charity. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

Having faith and a good conscience, which some rejecting have made shipwreck concerning the faith.

I give thanks to God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that without ceasing, I have a remembrance of thee in my prayers, night and day.


Calling to mind that faith which is in thee unfeigned, which also dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am certain that in thee also.


But flee thou youthful desires, and pursue justice, faith, charity, and peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.


All things are clean to the clean: but to them that are defiled, and to unbelievers, nothing is clean: but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.


Let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water.


Pray for us. For we trust we have a good conscience, being willing to behave ourselves well in all things.


How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?


Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded.


Purifying your souls in the obedience of charity, with a brotherly love, from a sincere heart love one another earnestly:


But with modesty and fear, having a good conscience: that whereas they speak evil of you, they may be ashamed who falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.


Whereunto baptism being of the like form, now saveth you also: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the examination of a good conscience towards God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.


But before all things have a constant mutual charity among yourselves: for charity covereth a multitude of sins.


And in godliness, love of brotherhood; and in love of brotherhood, charity.


In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever is not just, is not of God, nor he that loveth not his brother.


And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ: and love one another, as he hath given commandment unto us.


And every one that hath this hope in him, sanctifieth himself, as he also is holy.
