And he arose, and went into the chamber. And he poured the oil upon his head, and said: Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: I have anointed thee king over Israel, the people of the Lord.


Thine are riches, and thine is glory: thou hast dominion over all. In thy hand is power and might: in thy hand greatness, and the empire of all things.


And Ezechias was rich, and very glorious; and he gathered himself great treasures of silver and of gold, and of precious stones, of spices, and of arms of all kinds, and of vessels of great price.


And he built himself cities. For he had flocks of sheep, and herds without number: for the Lord had given him very much substance.


And said: Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away. As it hath pleased the Lord so is it done. Blessed be the name of the Lord.


He setteth up his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his testicles are wrapped together.


Who setteth up the humble on high, and comforteth with health those that mourn.


He hath not dealt with us according to our sins: nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.


At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they have all slumbered that mounted on horseback.


Thou art terrible, and who shall resist thee? from that time thy wrath.


The rich and poor have met one another: the Lord is the maker of them both.


Because the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and highminded, and upon every one that is arrogant: and he shall be humbled.


For, behold, I have made thee a little one among the nations, despicable among men.


And all the trees of the country shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree: and have dried up the green tree and have caused the dry tree to flourish. I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.


Be humbled in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
