And in the third year Josaphat king of Juda came down to the king of Israel.


But yet the people sacrificed in the high places: far there was no temple built to the name of the Lord until that day.


And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the precepts of David his father. Only he sacrificed in the high places, and burnt incense.


In the fifth year of Joram son of Achab king of Israel, and of Josaphat king of Juda, reigned Joram son of Josaphat king of Juda.


And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Achab had walked (for the daughter of Achab was his wife): and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.


And Jehu the son of Hanani, the seer, met him and said to him: Thou helpest the ungodly; and thou art joined in friendship with them that hate the Lord: and therefore thou didst deserve indeed the wrath of the Lord.


And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Achab had done: for his wife was a daughter of Achab. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord.


Your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord, who have sacrificed upon the mountains and have reproached me upon the hills; and I will measure back their first work in their bosom.


Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness?
