So the king of Israel, and Josaphat king of Juda went up to Ramoth Galaad.


And Josaphat said to the king of Israel: As I am, so art thou. My people and thy people are one: and my horsemen, thy horsemen. And Josaphat said to the king of Israel: Inquire, I beseech thee, this day, the word of the Lord.


Bengaber, in Ramoth Galaad: he had the towns of Jair the son of Manasses in Galaad, he was chief in all the country of Argob, which is in Basan, threescore great cities with walls, and brazen bolts.


And he sent to Josaphat king of Juda, saying: The king of Moab is revolted from me; come with me against him to battle. And he answered: I will come up. He that is mine is thine: my people, thy people: and my horses, thy horses.


And Achab king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda: Come with me to Ramoth Galaad. And he answered him: Thou art as I am, and my people as thy people, and we will be with thee in the war.


And Jehu the son of Hanani, the seer, met him and said to him: Thou helpest the ungodly; and thou art joined in friendship with them that hate the Lord: and therefore thou didst deserve indeed the wrath of the Lord.


He that walketh with the wise, shall be wise: a friend of fools shall become like to them.


Be not seduced: Evil communications corrupt good manners.


And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.


For he that saith unto him, God speed you, communicateth with his wicked works.


And he that shall overcome, and keep my works unto the end, I will give him power over the nations.
