And he slept with his fathers: and was buried with them in the city of David his father. And Josaphat his son reigned in his place.


And there passed three years without war between Syria and Israel.


But Josaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Juda in the fourth year of Achab king of Israel.


Nevertheless he took not away the high places: for as yet the people offered sacrifices and burnt incense in the high places.


And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Achab had walked (for the daughter of Achab was his wife): and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.


For as Jonas was in the whale's belly three days and three nights: so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.


From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples, that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the ancients and scribes and chief priests, and be put to death, and the third day rise again.
