11 On that day you  will not be put to shame because of everything you have done in rebelling  against me. For then I will remove from among you your jubilant,  arrogant people, and you will never again be haughty on my holy mountain.

They will not harm or destroy each other on my entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the  Lord as the sea is filled with water.


For a day belonging to the  Lord of Armies is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up #– #it will be humbled –


Israel will be saved by the  Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated for all eternity.


Humanity is brought low, each person is humbled, and haughty eyes are humbled.


‘Do not be afraid, for you will not be put to shame; don’t be humiliated, for you will not be disgraced. For you will forget the shame of your youth, and you will no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.


I will bring them to my holy mountain and let them rejoice in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.’


In place of your shame, you will have a double portion; in place of disgrace, they will rejoice over their share. So they will possess double in their land, and eternal joy will be theirs.


‘This is what the Lord says: Just like this I will ruin the great pride of both Judah and Jerusalem.


Do not trust deceitful words, chanting, ‘This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’


For on my holy mountain, Israel’s high mountain #– #the declaration of the Lord God  #– #there the entire house of Israel, all of them,  will serve me in the land. There I will accept them and will require your contributions and choicest gifts,  all your holy offerings.


Say to the house of Israel, “This is what the Lord God says: I am about to desecrate my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the desire of your heart. Also, the sons and daughters you left behind will fall by the sword.


Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, may your anger and wrath  turn away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain;  for because of our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors, Jerusalem and your people have become an object of ridicule to all those around us.


While I was speaking, praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel,  and presenting my petition before the Lord my God concerning the holy mountain of my God #– #


Her leaders issue rulings for a bribe, her priests teach for payment, and her prophets practise divination for silver. Yet they lean on the  Lord, saying, ‘Isn’t the Lord   among us? No disaster will overtake us.’


They came together against Moses and Aaron and told them, ‘You have gone too far! Everyone in the entire community is holy, and the Lord is among them.  Why then do you exalt yourselves above the Lord’s assembly? ’


And don’t presume to say to yourselves, “We have Abraham as our father.”  For I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.


Now if  you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the law,  and boast in God,


As it is written, Look, I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and the one who believes on him will not be put to shame.   ,


For it stands in Scripture: See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and honoured    cornerstone, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.   ,
