Don’t abandon your friend or your father’s friend, and don’t go to your brother’s house in your time of calamity; better a neighbour nearby than a brother far away.


If you do not know, most beautiful of women, follow  the tracks of the flock, and pasture your young goats near the shepherds’ tents.


While  Peter  was in the courtyard below, one of the high priest’s maidservants came.


Ruth the Moabitess said, ‘He also told me, “Stay with my young men until they have finished all of my harvest.” ’


Ruth stayed close to Boaz’s female servants and gathered corn until the barley and the wheat harvests were finished.  And she lived with  her mother-in-law.
