For from the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies,   slander.


Whatever is born of the flesh   is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit   is spirit.


For this reason God delivered them over to disgraceful passions.  Their women  exchanged natural sexual relations  for unnatural ones.


For no one will be justified  in his sight by the works of the law,  because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.


because the law produces wrath.  And where there is no law,  there is no transgression.


The law came along to multiply the trespass.  But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more,


And do not offer any parts  of it to sin  as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God,  and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.


I am using a human analogy  because of the weakness of your flesh.  For just as you offered the parts of yourselves as slaves to impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification.


So what fruit was produced  then from the things you are now ashamed of?  The outcome of those things is death.


For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


but I see a different law in the parts of my body,  , waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.


The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin  is the law.


For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh,


For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse,  because it is written,  Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed.   ,


Now those who belong to Christ Jesus  have crucified the flesh  with its passions and desires.


So, then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh #– #called ‘the uncircumcised’ by those called ‘the circumcised’,  which is done in the flesh by human hands.


We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly  desires, carrying out the inclinations  of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath  as the others were also.


Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity,  lust,  evil desire, and greed,  which is idolatry.


For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions  and pleasures,  living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.


Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.


What is the source of wars and fights among you? Don’t they come from your passions  that wage war within you?


Everyone who commits sin practises lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
