‘Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life   and will not come under judgement but has passed from death to life.


For this is the will of my Father:   that everyone who sees the Son   and believes in him will have eternal life, and I will raise   him up on the last day.’


God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.


But to the one who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly,  his faith is credited for righteousness.


Therefore, since we have been justified by faith,  we have peace  with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.


For what the law could not do  since it was weakened by the flesh,  God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh  as a sin offering,  ,


And some of you used to be like this.  But you were washed, you were sanctified,  you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.


and yet because we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law  but by faith in Jesus Christ,  even we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus. This was so that we might be justified by faith in Christ  and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will  be justified.


The law, then, was our guardian until Christ,  so that we could be justified by faith.


Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and proclaimed the gospel in advance to Abraham,  saying, All the nations   will be blessed through you.   ,


not from works, so that no one can boast.


and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law,  but one that is through faith in Christ   #– #the righteousness from God based on faith.


so that, having been justified by his grace,  we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.


But someone will say, ‘You have faith, and I have works.’  Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.


Senseless person! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?


You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
